Researchers have been studying the effects of self-hypnosis as a way to increase success, break bad habits, improve public speaking skills, and accomplish more in less time. Thanks to modern psychological research, conversational hypnosis has become part of standard training for military personnel, business leaders, salespeople, and physicians.

Conversational hypnosis can be achieved through the subtle and suggestive words you use during normal conversation with a friend, colleague, or stranger. With just a slight change in the tone of your voice, your body language, and the way you look at someone, you can make anyone do and think what you want.

Once you have developed the behavioral skills to be successful in conversational hypnosis, you must memorize the scripts and key words that you will use to hypnotize your subject. Through the use of positive affirmations and subtle cues, you can reprogram the subconscious mind and control exactly what someone thinks and does.

The key is to find a script that allows you to paint an environment that puts the subject in its entirety and that allows you to use methods that create amnesia. The most powerful form of hypnosis occurs when the subject forgets what you suggested. Otherwise, they question what they are doing and what they are thinking.

Once you have written your hypnosis script, you will constantly improve it as you develop your skills. Try it out on strangers at the grocery store or the cashier at the coffee shop, and try it out on unsuspecting friends. Just don’t suggest that they do something you wouldn’t want them to do to you. You’ll know when you’ve perfected your script, but you can always hone your conversational hypnosis skills.
