It is inevitable that a princess party is in the future of most parents with a little girl. However, with so many options, how do you choose which princess? How about Cinderella? Cinderella is by far the best known Disney princess. The beautiful dress of her and the happily ever after moment of her are the dreams of most girls. Making those dreams come true for your little princess is almost easy.
invitations
Idea #1
In honor of a royal proclamation, send out a scroll invitation. Find parchment paper clip art online and print party information on the blank area of the parchment. In each corner add a different image.

Print the party information on cardstock. Try to fit 2 invitations on a single piece of cardstock if possible. Leave a half inch border around each individual invitation for cutting. Cut out each invitation carefully. Save as much of the border around each invitation as possible. Find Cinderella clip art online (preferably clip art that doesn’t have a background image). Print the clip art on translucent paper or vellum, again printing 2 Cinderella images on each piece of vellum. Be sure to size the Cinderella clip art to cover the invitation and leave a half inch border around it. Carefully cut the printed Cinderella images to the same size as the pre-cut invitations. The Cinderella images must be placed on top of the invitations and measure exactly. Using transfer scissors, cut a decorative border around the vellum and cardstock. Punch two small holes at the top of the invitation. Thread the ribbon through both holes from below and make a bow at the front. Use decorative ribbon or ribbon that matches the party supplies. Your finished product should be a Cinderella invitation at the top that can be lifted up to reveal the party information.

Cinderella party supplies are available at most party stores and online, but a little whimsy will make your royal party stand out from the rest. Cinderella’s signature colors are sky blue or sky and white. Use these colors for crepe and balloon decoration. Re-create the Clock Tower using a long piece of cardboard or poster board. (Use images online or the movie for reference.) Paint a clock face on top and don’t forget to set the time to midnight.
Your princess will need her royal carriage, so have some pumpkins on hand for the transformation. If your party is during harvest time, visit the pumpkin patch and pick out some pumpkins to display in your party area. Try to get the pumpkins with the vines. Your local grocery store is not likely to be out of pumpkins. If your party isn’t around harvest time, your local craft store should have fake gourds and gourds. Liven it up with a little pixie dust (fine glitter) for an extra touch.

pizza at twelve – Using a normal round pizza, arrange (or have arranged) the ingredients to simulate the hands of a clock. Make sure the pepperoni clock is striking twelve.
pretty drink blue dress – combine any clear soda with any blue colored Kool Aid drink. If you don’t like giving kids soda, Kool Aid’s blue drink by itself works too.
cheese tray – Cinderella’s little mouse friends may not be invited to this party, but you can honor their heroic efforts with a cheese platter they’ll love!
pumpkin sauce – This sweet sauce is an ultra cute centerpiece. Find a simple pumpkin dip recipe online. Serve the sauce in a hollowed-out pumpkin. You can add stickers or paint a design on the outside of the pumpkin to add sparkle. Allow the squash to dry before adding the sauce. Serve with graham crackers or cinnamon graham crackers.

that’s my shoe! – Hide various shoes around the party area. The one who finds the most shoes wins. You can buy shoes at a local thrift store.
kiss the frog – Similar to putting the tail on the donkey, whoever puts their lips close to the frogs mouth gets their prince!
Fairy Godmother Makeover – Buy Cinderella dresses for the girls (if there are boys, buy knight or prince outfits) and prepare them for the ball. Be sure to take before and after photos for each child. You can find princess party dresses wholesale online.
Whatever you decide to do, ask the birthday girl Princess what she thinks will be a hit for her and her friends. A princess knows what she wants! The royal ball is sure to be an enchanting and regal event.
