The course had recently been recreated by Harry Colt in 1932 on the site of the previous 18-hole circuit, which had been designed in 1888 by Old Tom Morris. Royal Portrush has it all, a spectacular setting and a superb design that utilizes every twist and turn, mound and hollow of this magnificent land of links. As one of the best courses in Ireland, it is always in excellent condition.
