If you can fight for it, then you can have it. Another indefatigable spiritual fighter that we saw in the Bible is the prophet Elijah. The prophet of fire! After the battle on Mount Carmel, Elijah quickly informed King Ahab that God would again bring rain to the land of Israel, after three more years of drought. The man of God immediately set out for the top of Mount Carmel to pray for rain. But after so many tries it still didn’t rain. But he persisted until the seventh time and the rain came. By the way, he went to the top of Mount Camel to ‘wrestle’ with God to release rain to his people. Let’s read from 1 Kings 18:41-45: “Then Elijah said to Ahab, ‘Go and have a good meal! For I hear a great storm coming!’ So Ahab prepared a banquet. But Elijah went up to the top of Mount Camel, fell on the ground and prayed. Then he said to his servant, “Go and look toward the sea.” The servant went and looked, but he returned to Elijah and said : ‘I did not see anything.’ Seven times Elijah told him to go and look, and seven times he went. Finally, the seventh time, his servant said to him: ‘I saw a small cloud about the size of a hand coming out of the sea.’ Then Elijah yelled, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him, get in your car and go home. If you don’t hurry, the rain will stop you!” And sure enough, the sky soon darkened with clouds. A strong wind brought a terrible storm of rain “My God! Power man! You must be ready to fight for the promises and the word of God for your life and for your people. TRUE. Get up and fight now!

There are few things I would like us to learn here from Elijah. First, he was fully aware of the moment of God’s promise: the rain. Second, he went to the mountain to pray when others were celebrating. Third, he had God’s promise, but he also knew that he had to ‘fight’ for it to be born in the physical. Fourth, he refused to give up until the rain came. Fifth, he was quick to recognize the answer, even when it was like a small, insignificant sign. He believed in God and stayed until the little ones became mighty. And today I also see your small become great! This must be the attitude of anyone who wants to successfully ‘fight’ for God’s blessings. There were also other people who ‘wrestled’ with God in prayer that space would not allow us to look here. These include: Daniel, Elisha, Jesus, Paul, and many others. At various times they fought in the spirit, they fought in prayers to bring forth the will of God in the physical. You can read this and more from my book/audiobook The Power of the Midnight Prayer. Then another thing I would like to add here is that repetition of prayers is allowed at this level of spiritual warfare, especially when done in the midnight battle. I often hear people say that repetition of the prayer (or prayer points) means lack of faith, but that is not true. In wrestling with God (as in other high-level forms of prayer), the repetition of requests can sometimes determine the level of attention you receive. By this I do not mean the recitation of doctrines, dogmas, catechism, religious and denominational beliefs. No! I’m talking about real prayer and groaning in the spirit. You must keep praying until you receive answers to your requests. This must be the philosophy of the person who wants to obtain the maximum result from his encounter with God.

Let’s see the biblical opinion on this. Jesus in Gethsemane, before his arrest, went into the olive grove at night to pray and prepare for the ultimate price of going to the cross. There, the burden was so great on Him that He prayed the same prayer several times, the same night. Look at Matthew 26:44, “Then he prayed a third time, saying the same things again.” Did you see that? He had prayed before. He went back and prayed on the same subject. And he prayed again for the third time on the same subject. And what was the point of prayer? “My Father! If it is possible, take this chalice of suffering away from me. But I want your will, not mine.” Of course, this cannot be because he did not have faith, but the burden and reality of his mission weighed heavily on him, so he decided to constantly keep in touch with heaven to consult minute by minute. Like I said, the real battle was fought and won here in Gethsemane and it was at midnight. See also when he healed the blind man in Mark 8:22-25. He repeated the exercise before the man fully recovered his sight. Can we read it? “When they arrived at Bethsaida, some people brought a blind man to Jesus, and begged him to touch and heal the man. Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the town. Then, spitting in the man’s eyes, he put his hands on him. hands on top and asked, ‘can you see anything now?’ The man looked around. ‘Yes,’ he said, ‘I see people, but I can’t see them very clearly. They look like trees walking.’ Then Jesus again placed his hands over the man’s eyes. As the man stared, his sight was fully restored and he could see everything clearly.” Now, if Jesus could do it over and over again, I believe we cannot be greater than our teacher (as he said). Let’s always continue until we receive the desired result. Do it over and over and over again. Pray, fight, fight until you get it!

Also when he taught the principle of effective prayer, he encouraged us to keep asking, seeking and knocking until we receive what we pray for. “Keep asking, and what you ask for will be given to you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And the door is open to everyone.” who calls”. Matthew 7:7-8. Did you notice that continuous verbs were used in the previous passage? This simply means that he should keep doing it until he sees the desired result. It is a divine principle. Even the dark kingdom also understands this. That is why they rarely give up on their goals. We have previously cited the example of Elijah on Mount Carmel. He kept repeating the prayers, until the rain came on the seventh try. In fact, he was prepared to go even beyond the seventh if necessary; for he was sure that he had heard the sound of abundant rain in the spirit. So don’t be afraid to repeat his sentences on the same topic. He won’t be discouraged if he hasn’t seen the physical manifestation of the response. Just push until it happens! He shares this post with others. God bless you!
