Closely inspect your neighbors’ farms
The first thing to do is simply look at your neighbors’ farms, especially those who are at intermediate to advanced levels. This can give you a good idea of how to organize your own farm.
To do this, visit your farm or view your profile photos, as many players have screenshots of their farms stored there.
Decide what kind of farmer you want to be?
What is your priority when it comes to your farm?
Do you want to look good and make good money? Or would you rather optimize it for money? Or do you prefer it to look absolutely perfect and you don’t really care about money except to buy more things to decorate your farm?

If making money is your priority, then you should devote the vast majority (ideally 90% or more) of your land to farming. It won’t look pretty to cram all your animals and trees into one small corner, but it will make you more money.
If you decide to go this route, I recommend planting similar crops next to each other. For example, plant all of your strawberries next to each other and all of your pumpkins next to each other. If you follow this plan, they should all ripen for harvest at around the same time and you won’t waste time moving around your farm and clicking all over the place.

Some people use Photoshop, a spreadsheet, or even regular graph paper to sketch out and tweak their ideas before going ahead and buying and putting up the things they want.
