Now with the release of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, some people are having trouble leveling up too. I have a friend who is terribly fed up with leveling up right now. People in his guild go 72-76, and he was left with 70. And it’s not easier to level up at Borean and Howling when it’s packed with 68-70 people.

Other people want to level up slowly, you know, enjoy the scenery. They’re not rushing into the 80s, there are 2 years of endgame content to watch while still new to just about everyone.

In short, some like to level up slowly with friends, sightseeing, enjoying the scenery, role-playing in Valgarde, etc. But others also prefer raids and power levels.

Now, the best ways to get to level 80 faster in Northrend WOTLK?

Well, you have a couple of options, with the first three more on power leveling:

1. Grinding

Some missions are done, but only those that can be done while grinding. This is probably the most boring form of power leveling.

2. AOEing

With AOE spells, you kill multiple monsters at the same time and it sounds better than it is. Still, some quests are done, but only those that can be done while grinding. This is much more entertaining than normal polishing.

3. Power AOEing

Grinding AOE with the support of others. There is usually a support class that heals you, allowing you to AEO a larger number of monsters, without worrying about your survival or health. Still, some missions take place along the way. The only downside to this is finding that kind of support to accomplish this task, while getting all the experience, not partying.

Also, grinding is boring and there is no way to get rid of it. To overcome this boredom, you can simply play music while grinding. It also doesn’t require you to look at your monitor all the time, so watching TV isn’t too difficult while doing this. Also, don’t think about how love is taking you to the level as it will make you extremely frustrated and bored.

4. Agricultural bodies

For me, it will take years to form a group, then usually someone is useless. They get kicked, and then a big argument about the downfall of the first boss. Some people leave, then the rest of the group leaves or gets bored. Then you are back where you started.

5. Search

Now this is the fastest if you know exactly what missions to do and which routes to take. You can also do those missions or routes where you can kill animals for extra XP bonuses. You’ll also get more involved with WoW history, and it’s a lot more entertaining than grinding.

Now for the rundown of the fastest way to level up from 70 to 80 in Northrend, Wrath of the Lich King:

1. Search if you know exactly what routes and missions to do.

2. Grinding and power leveling if you don’t know the routes and missions.

3. Example of agriculture, as something will go wrong here.
