You probably spend most of your time playing on your Xbox, Nintendo, or PlayStation, or maybe a bit of each depending on what console you have. Have you ever wondered what will be next? I know I did, like they say curiosity killed that cat, but sometimes it’s nice to know what’s next in tech.

Let’s start with Xbox 360, the next generation console or at least the mascot name for now is Xbox 720. New features will include improved processors and parts, the console will also be completely redesigned, the release date is expected to be sometime time of 2011, probably a few months before Christmas to improve sales. Launch prices are expected to be around $600.00 USD.

The infamous Nintendo Wii is expected to launch with the next possible game console to be called the Nintendo Gamesphere, though the mascot name for now is just “Nintendo Wii 2.” We can expect to see the same type of gameplay that involves physical movement, the designers are going to be more elaborate to engage the players. Once again we will see a new design and more features, the launch price is expected to be around $350.00 USD.

PlayStation 3 to… PlayStation 4, that’s really a no-brainer. Xbox and PlayStation have always been the main competitors for game consoles, we will definitely see the competition intensify with the upcoming consoles coming out this year. The expected launch price for PlayStation 4 is around $550.00.
