With the addition of Randy Moss, the Vikings and Brett Favre will look to avoid a 1-3 start. The Jets are off to a 3-1 start and Mark Sanchez has thrown 8 touchdowns with 0 interceptions. Although the Vikings haven’t had a lot of time to introduce Moss on offense, they hope to open things up for Adrian Peterson and really help this Minnesota team.

The Jets are hoping Darrelle Revis will re-anchor their defense and they may test him early by returning from a hamstring injury. Revis was able to shut down Moss in week 2 when the Jets faced New England. Moss was limited to 2 catches for 38 yards and 1 TD. Revis accused Moss of quitting in the second half of that game. Given that the two have exchanged words in recent weeks, we can expect the Vikings to give Moss a chance at redemption.

The current lineup has the Jets as -4.5-point favorites. We saw some early action on the Vikings once they acquired Moss. The Jets then moved to 3.5-point favorites and moved back up when Revis was upgraded to probable. The O/U is set to 39.5.

Prediction: Depending on which recently activated player has the biggest impact. Will it be Revis, Moss or Santonio Holmes? We know that adding Holmes back to the Jets’ lineup will provide another point of attack for their offense. We know that adding Randy Moss to the Vikings’ offense will bring Brett Favre a compliment for Adrian Peterson. Take OVER 39 to 41 points. The Jets will contribute some points and we expect the Vikings to contribute more in a close game. There will be fireworks!
