Why do men develop excessive chest fat or “man boobs”?

The most common explanation for man boobs is being overweight. However, another main cause of this excess chest fat is an imbalance in the body of the two sex hormones: estrogen and testosterone. Gynecomastacia, more commonly known as man boobs, is more specifically caused by the body converting testosterone to estrogen. The conversion process takes place in fat cells, so the more fat cells you have, the more likely you are to get gynecomastacia.

So why does this imbalance occur?

This hormonal imbalance can be caused by a poor diet and lifestyle. Today, many types of food are genetically modified or filled with different hormones to make them grow faster and bigger. The hormones in the food stay there until it is eaten and then the hormones pass into your body and cause a host of health problems including the development of man boobs.

Another thing that could be causing these unhealthy problems is heating food in plastic. When you heat food in the oven or microwave in plastic containers, certain harmful chemicals are released into the food from the container. To some extent, when these chemicals are ingested, they can cause hormonal imbalances.

So if you’re trying to stay healthy and lose man boobs, try to stick to organic meats, eggs, and milk, and stay out of the microwave!

Now that we know the causes, what are the solutions?

We all have a different genetic makeup that causes us to store fat differently. While it is common for men to store fat around the middle, some store fat around the chest area. If this is what happens to you, just a little exercise and a change in diet can help reduce fat stores and help you regain your masculine figure.

The most effective exercise program for increasing testosterone levels and decreasing chest size is intense weight training. A decrease in your man boobs can be ensured by weight training with a planned diet.
