This article focuses on helping you learn how to help your overweight child lose weight. There are many parents who are struggling because their child is overweight and they don’t know what to do.

Today, I want to share with you three key pieces of information that can help your child lose weight and keep it off. By the time you finish reading this article, you will have three new strategies to help your child.

The first thing parents need to understand is why their child is overweight. You have to diagnose the problem. For most parents, the problem is that their child is not eating well or is not active enough.

There is a reason why the rate of obesity in children has increased. According to the Center for Disease Control, childhood obesity has increased dramatically in the last 5 to 10 years. Statistics show that children today are not eating as well as they used to and are not as active.

I could sit here and point fingers all day at the reasons why childhood obesity is continually on the rise, but you’re looking for solutions to the problem, right? Let’s take a look at three ways to help your kids be healthier.

The first piece of advice I want to share with you is: “walk the talk.” Chances are if the children are overweight, the parents are also overweight. The first step is to take a look at your clothes as a parent.

Children follow the example of their parents. If the parents eat healthy, the child is likely to eat better too. If you are active, your child will be more active. So the first step is to take an honest look at your clothes. Are you leading by example?

The next piece of advice I have for you is: “Be more active with your child.” Chances are good that his son needs encouragement to get off the couch, turn off his video games, and go outside to play.

The best way to cheer them up is to do it with them. This goes back to the first tip. Lead by example by going out to play and encouraging your child. The goal should be to get your child active for an hour a day and still have fun.

You don’t have to go out and do a fitness regimen with your child. Simply taking them out for a run, a game and getting their heart rate up will help speed up their metabolism and burn fat.

The last piece of advice I want to share with you is: “have healthier eating habits”. My son Timothy is one of the pickiest eaters I know. It used to be very frustrating trying to get him to eat healthy food.

At a very young age, all he wanted was chicken nuggets and ketchup. She ate corn and some other vegetables, but it was like pulling her teeth so she would try new foods. During the first years of his life, he simply did not eat meat.

My wife Lynn came up with a great idea that worked really well for us. She had the whole family grow a garden together. Timmy took the opportunity to dig in the dirt and plant seeds.

As the plants grew and the vegetables arrived, Timmy became excited and wanted to try them because he had been a part of growing the vegetables. Every day he would run out and check to see what new fruits and vegetables were ready to pick.

Timmy now loves to try new foods and likes to eat foods that fuel his body and give him good vitamins and nutrients. The best part is that many of them are grown in our backyard, making them the healthiest option he can get.

Finally, you need to set an example for your child to help them learn the right way to eat and be physically active. The earlier you start these healthy habits with your child, the better chance they have in life to be healthy and fit.

As a bonus, you’ll find that setting a good example for your child to be healthy will also help your child become healthier and have better habits. I hope you have enjoyed these tips on how to help your overweight child lose weight. If you have any questions, feel free to call me.
