The following instructions will show you the correct way to replace the toner cartridge in a SAMSUNG CLP-610ND color laser printer.
Installation of the toner/imaging unit is a consumable item that is an operator-performable function and does not require a skilled technician to perform the job.
The toner cartridge AND the green imaging drum form a unit. When removing or replacing it, be careful not to damage the drum or allow it to remain exposed to light for an extended period of time.
Step one
Go down the front door.
IMPORTANT: The surface of the transfer belt must not be touched or marked in any way, as it will transfer onto your copy, which will require the purchase of another unit.
With the front door fully open, the 4-color toner cartridges are visible.
Second step
Grasp the cartridge by the handle on each side and gently pull it towards you. Please note the decals on the front door that also explain the removal and installation procedure.
Step three
Unwrap the new cartridge and carefully place it in its correct position and push it in with your thumbs until it clicks into place.
Note: Make sure that each color cartridge is placed in the specified slot. A color tab on the left helps identify each color.
When the new cartridges have been installed, close the front door and start printing.
NOTE: Many toner cartridges can be recycled, so before you dispose of your cartridge, do your part to save the environment.
