Super Bowl Sunday is the biggest sports night of the year. There’s no denying that millions of fans flock to watch the final two teams compete for the coveted title of Super Bowl champions. And while the game itself is an integral part of the excitement, many elements go into throwing the perfect Super Bowl party.

You’ve sent out the invites and your guests have RSVP’d, now it’s time to start planning the party.

There are a few essentials for every Super Bowl party. Meeting all of the requirements set forth below will ensure that your party is a success.

1. Big screen TV. A big screen television is an essential for any great Super Bowl party. However, the TV must be at least 42 inches and must be equipped with HD (high definition) capabilities.

2. Appetizers. A Super Bowl party just won’t be a party without refreshments. We’re not talking about fancy hors d’oeuvres, we’re talking about hot chili peppers, nachos, fries, and other masculine foods that men and women can enjoy while sipping on a huge glass of ice-cold beer. That brings us to our next article…

3. Beer. Perhaps beer should have been the first item on the list, but a big TV and snacks are just as important to the party. If you plan to hold a beer-less Super Bowl party, don’t plan on having a lot of RSVPs, just in case you decide to do an encore performance next year. Take our word for it; Besides the television itself, beer is the most important element of any Super Bowl party.

4.Room. You’ve got your big screen TV, you’ve made the snacks and put the beer in the fridge, what’s left to do? At this point, the most important thing left to do is make sure there are enough seats for all of your guests. Not only does there need to be enough seating, but each spot needs to be at a good angle to the TV (it’s a Super Bowl party, after all). Consider throwing some extra pillows, bean bags, and chairs in the room where the party is taking place. Making a conscious effort to do this beforehand will eliminate some of the chaos before guests arrive.

5. Groups/Bets. Betting on a game can make it more interesting to watch. Making a group for you and all your guests to join in will add to the excitement and keep everyone engaged throughout the game. Divide your pool/bet into quarters so it’s impossible to announce the winner before the game is over. There are several Super Bowl pool ideas available online.

We hope our tips have helped. Have fun throwing the best Super Bowl party ever!
