If you are a blogger or a webmaster, you may know how important backlinks are in the success of a blog. So what is a backlink?

Backlinks are incoming links to a web page.

Backlinks are also called inbound links, inbound links, internal links, and internal links.

How backlinks affect a website/blog

Backlinks play a key role in the search engine optimization (SEO) of your blog. The most important factor behind your page rank is backlinks. To get good page rank and rank high in Google, you need to focus on building backlinks, preferably dofollow backlinks. Read on to understand the difference between dofollow and nofollow backlinks.

Different types of backlinks

In general, there are two types of backlinks: 1. Backlink Dofollow and 2. Backlink Nofollow.

dofollow backlinks

Search engine crawlers crawl all the content on your web page, including images, links, keywords, etc. Every time they find a link, if the link is dofollow, the crawlers follow the link and land on another web page. If you want to get indexed in Google and rank high in Google, you need to focus on these dofollow backlinks.

nofollow bottom lines

Nofollow backlinks are ignored by search engine crawlers. Whenever you are linking to any non-high value website, use the rel=”nofollow” attribute in your web page html.

How to handle these dofollow and nofollow links

It is equally important to “dofollow” outbound links that are relevant. You do not need to give the “nofollow” attribute to the internal pages of your blog.
