Here at Modern Warfare 2 Player we have done a review on the internet of what is out there in terms of Call of Duty online multiplayer guide. And what we found were some very basic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare guides and a few scattered pieces of literature for Call of Duty: World at War. If you are lucky enough to know a good forum, there are three or four very good ones. Where people will happily discuss tactics and weapon classes for any variety of games!
There are so many gameplay variations and possible tactics involved when it comes to playing Call of Duty that it’s hard to know what to do best! Should I find a spot on a free-for-all map and try to stay there through every level and pick off people running past? Or should I run around like a headless chicken and fight as much as possible? In search and destroy, should I just sit back and wait to avoid the new tubes or run straight to the front line? A big topic of discussion on the forums is which weapon classes you should be using and in which games. It’s hard to know what’s best, as I’m sure certain classes will suit certain players, ie an aggressive player might not see the need to block UAVs. There are also game theory issues that people need to address when playing more tactical games, like search and destroy, sabotage, or HQ. A good strategy is to watch people who have a very high score and see what they do.
As Modern Warfare 2’s release date approaches, all the forums will be abuzz with excitement for the new game. Hopefully we Modern Warfare 2 players can create some excitement with our next Call of Duty online multiplayer guide!
