Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas is exactly what the location says, paradise. The landscape is incredible with water parks for children and adults. A lazy river ride for adults and fish everywhere, the water park is fantastic. The water park alone feels like an adventure park that should be 50 bucks a day. There are two slides that send you through shark tanks after a fast-paced ride down the slides. There are also two other water slides that are as fast as they can go and will keep you busy all day. If you’re looking to enjoy the open water, there are jet skis for rent on the ocean side that allow you to race across a crystal clear ocean.

When it’s time to relax, you can sit on the beach, but let me recommend that you stay on the beach at Paradise Lagoon, where a drink is just a flag away. The lagoon is large enough to swim across. People enjoy the lagoon with a bath or the small rowing boats that are rented on the other side. When you’re hungry for lunch, take a dip or walk over to the Lagoon Bar and Grill for a great sandwich or salad with an afternoon drink.

And of course, don’t forget the casino, after your outdoor adventures come stay overnight for a full casino experience. The sports book is one of the best you will see on the islands and will make you think you are in Las Vegas but much more relaxed. Of course, everything can be accessed using your room key, so be careful; I recommend putting that back in your pocket.

It could take me days to write about all the shops and spas that Atlantis has to offer. There is no inclination to leave the resort to explore the rest of the island once you’re there. The staff is very helpful and will help you with whatever you need. If you go I recommend a sunset massage on the beach on your first night as that will put you in the right frame of mind for your stay.
