The preparation loves success in any sport.

Before your tennis matches, make sure you are mentally prepared to play them.

Today I have 3 solid tips for you that I want you to try before your next game and implement on game day.

“Match play is mental and only mentally strong players win their matches.”

Okay, let’s take a look at these great tips here.

1) The Mind Battle

Get your mind in order before you head out by doing some warrior meditation in a quiet place.

After you have your thoughts under control.

“Imagine yourself playing your best tennis on the court, feel that emotion that comes with it, and also speak to yourself with some empowering affirmations.”

The goal here is to accept the challenge and prepare your mind for mind war. (shouts out to Scott Bolan)

2) Go over your battle plan

Good, after you prepare your mind for the game.

Take another look at your battle plan.

Once again, imagine yourself taking your shots and doing it under pressure.

Tennis is a game of sensations and if your plan doesn’t feel right for the day, tweak it a bit and focus on sticking with it.

3) Have a plan B and C

You’ll need a backup plan, if your game plan doesn’t work for you early in the game.

So think of everything on paper.

Strategize your plan, until it’s so clear to you that you can really feel it.

This is what the best players of all levels do.

I call this becoming a “Grand Strategist”.

It’s like your plan is so thought out that you relax on the court and play in the moment.

A few other tips, before I let them go.

Give your battle plan plenty of time to work.

5 games is plenty, so if things aren’t working out by then, switch to plan B and see what happens.

Those are 3 tips that I know can help you start getting better results from your game.

We can sum up match play as mind warfare on a whole new level.

The true warriors of tennis are the players, who know it and come to their matches prepared for battle.

Everyone wants to be there!!

While the other players struggle in their careers.

So make sure you don’t become one of those players.

Good luck using these tips and keep me posted on your results.
