People really are driven by passion and enthusiasm. Many people start out excited about an MLM, they think everyone else will be just as excited because their product is so great, or the company is in pre-launch, or the compensation plan is the best they’ve ever seen. But guess what, people won’t see it right away, you’ll get shot down and the excitement will start to fade when your friends and family tell you that you’re in a pyramid scheme (although obviously you’re not because that’s illegal) But don’t try to tell them! it’s!)
So maybe you’re not trying to tell your friends and family, because you know attraction marketing is the only way to go. But then you spend your time trying to add as many friends as you can on Facebook or Twitter, or writing articles about things you don’t know about. And frankly, that gets tedious and for most people it doesn’t feel very good. Face it, when you search for people in MLM groups on Facebook and add friends as fast as you can without Facebook showing you the dreaded “You’re moving too fast” box, do you feel too good about it? Or do you vaguely feel that you might be behaving a bit like a spammer?
When you write your articles, do you feel like you’ve really delivered value, or do you feel like you’re obviously just trying to sell something in the end? How do you feel about your marketing? Because let’s face it, if you don’t feel good about what you’re doing, YOU WON’T DO IT! No matter how well it worked for someone else, YOU have to feel good about it, because you just won’t do something that makes you feel bad about yourself!
But… how can we be successful if typical marketing techniques are difficult or cumbersome? How can we keep doing the action and making things happen because…?

The secret to success is consistent and persistent ACTION.
Ok… so we know that if we don’t feel good about what we’re doing, we won’t continue to take consistent and persistent action until we’re successful, we’ll just stop the second Facebook says we are too. fast, or EzineArticles says one of our articles is too promotional, etc. So how can we feel good about what we are doing?
How can we make MLM fun?
Here are some ideas.
1. People LOVE making REAL relationships
What if instead of rushing through a list on Facebook by hitting add, add, add, you actually select the people you want to be friends with? Do you want people who spam your profile page or people you actually have something in common with? Take a couple of minutes to click on the name and see what interests the person has and send them a personal message with the friend request asking them a question…and DO NOT include a link. This is much more likely to result in someone remembering her name and starting a communication. They will usually answer and ask you a question, so you can get to know the people… and guess what, it only takes one more minute.
Do you only post links on Facebook or spend time getting to know people as people, not as potential paychecks? Spend 30 minutes responding to people’s posts or liking their videos, etc. Trust me, it will be a lot more FUN for you as you get to know people.
Laughs a little! Post real things about the real you, it doesn’t all have to be business, MLM is all about relationships, so make it fun!
2. People LOVE being part of a COMMUNITY
Guess what, you’re already part of a community! You are in an MLM company, and there are probably a LOT of like-minded people in your company. Participate in your company calls, meet other people in your business. You don’t have to compete, you all have the same goal. And if you’re part of an Attraction marketing system like an MLSP, you have additional communities to connect to, learn from, and grow with. This will continually increase your belief in your business and help you realize that the little setbacks you encounter are not the end of the world, everyone else faces the same things and gets over them too.
3. Create a mastermind
Find a few people you connect with well in your communities and create a group of experts. Share with them your goals and dreams, get support when you feel down. Challenge each other to do more and do better! One great thing you can do is create a Skype group or private Facebook group with one or two people so you can ask each other questions, stay up to date, and help each other. Try to find someone on the same path as you who is actually doing the work and getting results. You want to be inspired by your group of experts… and you want to ENJOY IT… this is not just a business, you can make true friends for life this way.
4. Learn, learn, learn
You will have TEN TIMES more fun in your business when you are absolutely immersed in it. There is nothing like having a true passion for something, and the more you learn and immerse yourself, the more passion you will strengthen. The more you learn about your business and your industry, the more valuable you will be to others, and the BETTER YOU WILL FEEL about yourself and your work. If you are generating true quality in the form of articles and videos etc, it is always due to the quality of your learning and knowledge. And after a while, learning becomes FUN! When you discover something new, you ABSOLUTELY want to share it with others. When you take the time to learn about a subject, you feel better about what you’re producing from that knowledge. I used to hate writing reviews of other companies, but I’ve started to find it fun to do research and see what everyone else is doing. I try to always bring something in my items that other sellers have not taken the time to discover… and it becomes a game to always DELIVER.
The truth of Real MLM is that it CAN be fun! You just need to STOP worrying about money and start thinking about being valuable and creating great friendships. The more authentic you are, the more fun you will have! And while it’s easier to build fast than slow, it’s easier to build with integrity and a sense of FUN.
