Yesterday is gone. Rejoice today. Life is too short. It goes so fast, so try not to let the past be your day to day. If you realized that today would be your last day on earth, what would be the most important things to you? Definitely not the past, right?

Some people end up reflecting on something horrible that happened before and end up destroying their present. The fact is, doing those things never helped anyone to help anyone feel better about anything. You end up wasting your precious new day, when you could have been accomplishing something wonderful and lucrative with it. It is a lot like a horrible brooding trap that depresses you and makes you feel miserable.

When something terrible happens, or when you feel baffled by a circumstance or an individual, constantly remind yourself that your psyche is not responding to the circumstance, it is responding to your emotions. The feelings are yours and not someone else’s problem. When you fully understand this, you are ready to take responsibility for transforming it.

You can’t handle the past. But you can manage your present. You have the option to make it amazing. You can decide to have a wonderful day today. You can choose those reflections, those examples, each of those things because you have that option. You have the decision to renounce yesterday, renounce the past, grasp the present and shake it up.

However, when you feel disappointed or irritated with an individual or circumstance, remember that you are not responding to the individual or circumstance, but to your feelings about the individual or circumstance. These are your feelings and your emotions are not someone else’s fault. When you fully perceive and understand this, you are ready to take responsibility for how it feels and transform it. What’s more, you can recognize things as they seem to be, you are prepared to take responsibility for your circumstance and for all occasions that you consider problems.

When someone hurts us, we must understand that we control our own feelings, not that other individual, and we do not need to change our emotions, we simply change our contemplation, since reflections come before our feelings. We need to change our mindset to recognize that what happened has happened and then we need to focus on our reflections on where we should go from here on.

We need to decide to forgive and move on. We cannot transform any other individual, we can simply change ourselves. In addition, we have the decision to acknowledge what happened and move on with this new day.

We as a person need to change the way we think to acknowledge and renounce what has happened before and focus on another day with positive attitudes.
