Can you have a healthy relationship without fighting? Hmmm … in my opinion, this is really a challenge! As far as my knowledge, human beings cannot coexist without a healthy relationship. So how do you maintain one? To do this, you really need to put on a thinking cap. Do I need to juggle and have a balance of love, patience, tolerance, understanding, trust, commitment, and self-esteem? Or do I have to wave warnings to the wind and say nonchalantly, “I give up!”

Remember, the vital survival of a relationship depends on you and these essential ingredients:

  1. Honesty: Basically, it is one of the most important for any relationship. Having a deep and loving honesty between a couple says it loud and clear. “You will always know the true me, no matter what!” It is a feeling that allows one to open up to the other in all honesty.
  2. Sorry: Simply put, couples who can’t reconcile will break up! Without forgiveness, no one is capable of leaving the past behind.
  3. Communication: we need to learn to communicate and ride through storms. Disagreements are an integral part of all relationships; but to interweave through them, the partners must learn different forms of communication and walk in the place of their partners.
  4. Trust: Overtime, only trust will deepen. If they were able to trust each other, then you don’t have to deal with suspicions and insecurities. You can speak freely knowing that your partner trusts and loves you for it.
  5. Time Apart (Space): As human beings, we need to have our own healthy space to do so. Initially, couples are inseparable, which is a norm. As time goes on, the two of you have different interests, hobbies, and activities to help correlate your partnership.
  6. Friendship: this is important to maintain a relationship. Both of you should trust each other as true and sincere friends, not just lovers. We are aware that when passion fades, the reality is … that it is the bond of friendship that holds people together in all circumstances.
  7. Monogamy: being one of the fundamental elements of all marriages, you cannot have trust and honesty, if there is no monogamy!
  8. Similar Values: When making important decisions in life, both of you must be in unison to agree. Happy couples are those who learn to agree on financial issues and how to raise their children.
  9. Patience: If you have the patience, you will certainly have the tolerance to deal with the problems and imperfections of others, with understanding. Then you will have the bond that will unite you in difficult and difficult moments. Marriages don’t end simply because of problems. They separate because both parties stopped trying, to solve those problems!
  10. Passion is another essential ingredient to stay in love. While the tide may ebb and flow over time, their true passion for each other is the heart and soul of a long-lasting and healthy relationship.
